4 Natural Face Masks For Dry Winter Skin- At Home

Winter is beautiful. Crisp air, fresh snow, cozy campfires, hot cocoa, and— dry skin. Why can’t your skin just enjoy winter as much as the rest of us? It’s okay. We’ve all been there. Your face is red, flakey, and sooo dry. Luckily, you’ve stumbled upon this blog post and will now obtain the knowledge to fix this issue. Whether you want your skin to look new, hydrated, or just… not dry, I have an easy face mask for you.

**For best results, wash face with warm water or soak with a warm towel before applying a mask. This both softens the skin and opens your pores, making the mask more effective.**

For Dry Skin

If your skin is suffering from the cold, leaving it dry and irritated, you need to moisturize, so try this:

Cucumber+Aloe Vera Mask

  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2 tbsp aloe vera

Cut up the cucumber, then mix it in a blender, as much as you can. Mix it with the aloe vera and apply to skin. After it dries (approx. 30 minutes), rinse off with cool water and pat dry with a towel.

You can either make it, or buy one here 🙂

Honey+Banana+Olive Oil Mask

  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Mash the banana, mix with the honey, and apply. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes, then rinse it off with cool water and pat dry with a towel.

Or try this cruelty-free honey and lavender face mask!

For Flakey Skin

Honey+Epsom Salt Mask

  • 2tbsp honey
  • 2tbsp epsom salt

Mix the ingredients until they are well blended, forming a spreadable paste. Smooth on skin and leave it for around 30 minutes, until it dries. Wash with cool water, and pat dry with a fuzzy towel.

Olive Oil+Brown Sugar Scrub

Let it be said that this is less of a face mask, and more of a face scrub. Which in the case of flaking skin, is much needed.

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1-ish tsp olive oil

Mix ingredients. Rub on face, concentrating on problematic areas, then rinse. Be sure to moisturize after, your skin will be sensitive and will likely dry out quickly. You can also follow with a face mask for dry skin (see above).

Or you can buy an organic brown sugar scrub by clicking this link 🙂

Well, there you have it. Let me know how it goes, I’m wishing you all beautiful skin and a happy 2021!
